Mini-Systems Inc. is a worldwide leader in the manufacture of thick film resistors, thin film resistors, and glass side wall packages. Our mission is to produce quality components, delivered on-time, that meet or exceed our customer and industry standards of conformance and quality. Our quality system conforms to and/or approved for the following standards:
All of our high reliability, military, space level, and commercial parts are manufactured on the same production line. This ensures consistent quality for all our products. It is standard for all MSI parts to undergo a 100% electrical test and 100% visual inspection. In addition, the parts are checked for conformance to a 1% AQL at Final QC Inspection. The quality assurance department performs testing to MIL-PRF-55342, MIL-PRF-38534, and customer specific requirements. The following list contains some of the testing performed at MSI:
MIL-PRF-55342 GROUP A | Thermal Shock, Element Electrical, Visual Inspection, Solderability, Resistance to Solvents, & Power Conditioning (Space Level). |
MIL-PRF-55342 GROUP B | Resistance Temperature Characteristics, Short Time Overload, Solder Mounting Integrity, Bondable Mounting Integrity, & Wire Bonding Integrity. |
MIL-PRF-55342 GROUP C | Life Test, Thermal Shock, Low Temperature Operation, Resistance to Soldering Heat, Resistance to Bonding Exposure, Moisture Resistance, & High Temperature Exposure. |
MIL-PRF-38534 CLASS H | Element Electrical, Visual Inspection, & Wire Bond Evaluation. |
MIL-PRF-38534 CLASS K | Element Electrical, Visual Inspection, Wire Bond Evaluation, Temperature Cycling, Constant Acceleration, Voltage Conditioning (Aging), DC Leakage (Capacitors), Dielectric Withstanding Voltage (Capacitors), Dissipation Factor (Capacitors), & Salt Atmosphere (Packages). |
Additional Testing: MIL-STD-202, MIL-STD-883, MIL-PRF-38534, MIL-PRF-49464 | Current Noise, Device Finish, Die Shear, Insulation Resistance (Capacitors), Q-Factors (Capacitors), SEM Analysis, Temperature Coefficient of Capacitance, & Visual Inspection. |
