Mini-Systems Inc. is a worldwide leader in the manufacture of thick film resistors, thin film resistors, and glass side wall packages. Our mission is to produce quality components, delivered on-time, that meet or exceed our customer and industry standards of conformance and quality. All of our high reliability, military, space level, and commercial parts are manufactured on the same production line. This ensures consistent quality for all our products. It is standard for all MSI parts to undergo a 100% electrical test and 100% visual inspection.  In addition, the parts are checked for conformance to a 1% AQL at Final QC Inspection.  The quality assurance department performs testing to MIL-PRF-55342, MIL-PRF-38534, and customer specific requirements.  The following list contains some of the testing performed at MSI:

  • Mercury Statement: No mercury or mercury compounds exist in supplied materials.
  • Counterfeit Material Statement: Mini-Systems Inc. is an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer). All purchases of components and raw materials are made directly from the manufacturer or one of our authorized distributors.
  • Conflict Minerals Statement: Mini-Systems Inc. does not use any “conflict materials” as defined in Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform Act and California Senate Bill 861.
  • Reach Statement: To the best of Mini-Systems Inc. knowledge, all materials used in the manufacture of components are in compliance with the European regulation (EC) 1907/2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH).

  • Thick Film QPL Resistors have an “S” failure rate (FR Level). MSI compiles >10,000,000 chip hours of life test a year.
  • Thin Film QPL Resistors have an “R” failure rate (FR Level). MSI compiles >3,000,000 chip hours of life test a year.
  • Non-QPL Thin Film Resistors compile >2,500,000 chip hours of life test a year with an average shift of +0.016% and no failures.
  • Our packages are manufactured with procedures that meet or exceed testing outlined in MIL-PRF-38534.
  • MSIRP (Mini-Systems Inc. Reliability Program).

Mini-Systems Inc. is committed to its customers. Most of our customers’ programs have long life cycles which require a steady flow of parts.  We would never discontinue manufacturing or obsolete a part type that would affect our customers’ supply.  If a part was purchased in the past, MSI will still manufacture it today.
